Grant S. Arends is the Co-Founder and President of Retirement Services for the organization. Specifically, he is charged with overseeing the Retirement Services Consulting division for all intellicents locations. He began his career in 1991 practicing in the Minnesota location. In 1998 he and his family moved to Kansas City. Today, the Kansas City office is one of the leading retirement consulting firms in the area. Grant is one of the two primary shareholders of the firm. Grant spends much of his time providing consulting services directly to plan sponsors. He focuses his practice exclusively on retirement plan design, vendor selection, investment management, and employee education. Grant is very involved in providing direction to the retirement plan industry. His reputation as a leader in this field led to a term on the Charles Schwab Corporate Services Retirement Plan Trust and Custody Advisory Board, assisting Schwab with their corporate direction as an industry leader in providing retirement plan custody and trust services to the retirement plan marketplace. He is sought out to speak at retirement plan events throughout the country providing insight and education on the attributes that make up a successful retirement plan; teaching professionals throughout the country on the services they need to be providing to their clients.

Grant graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and also holds minors in Economics and Political Science. Grant has over two decades of experience in the retirement plan industry. He has previously passed securities exams:
