As President, Matt helps set the course for intellicents, guiding the firm’s strategy, growth and continued evolution. Since joining intellicents in 2018, he has played a key role in expanding the organization, strengthening its capabilities and identifying opportunities that position the firm for long-term success.
His leadership is centered on building a strong organization for the future while preserving the relationships, service and culture that have shaped intellicents along the way. Matt brings a practical, forward-looking perspective to the decisions that help move the firm ahead.
Matt began his career in 2008 at Twedt Financial Services, the firm he built alongside his father, Joel, where they grew assets under management to more than $110 million. He holds the Certified Financial Planner® designation and brings both strategic insight and a personal touch to every relationship he manages.

Matt graduated from Minnesota State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree, Summa Cum Laude with a Major in Finance with emphasis on Financial Planning and Insurance, and holds the following designations and has previously passed securities exams:

Being able to live each day prioritizing what’s important to my family and me, and having the means and ability to act on those desires.

I love meeting new people and families, as well as learning more about them and what made them who they are. Helping them prioritize their goals and wants in life and putting a plan together is challenging and fun. Then seeing that plan come together and being a witness to it is extremely rewarding.
this is how i make it real
I enjoy watching all things Iowa State, but most of my free time is spent doing something outside with my wife and three children, Madison, Allison, and Emerson.
