Financial Consultants Named Finalists for National Award Recognizing Work to Expand Retirement Access
ALBERT LEA, MINN.— May 8 —intellicents Financial Consultants Jeff Belton and Tom A. Krusic have been named finalists for the 2026 Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year Awards in the Closing the Coverage Gap — MEPs/PEPs category, presented by PLANADVISER.
The category recognizes advisers helping more Americans access retirement plans through Multiple Employer Plans (MEPs) and Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs), a critical lever for small businesses that have historically been left out of traditional retirement offerings.
Belton and Krusic were selected for their work helping employers simplify plan access and giving more employees a path to save, many for the first time.
“At its core, this is about access,” says Matt Twedt, President of intellicents. “Too many employees still don’t have a straightforward way to save for retirement through their employer. Jeff and Tom are helping change that in a very real, practical way.”
The PLANADVISER Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year Awards recognizes advisers based on a combination of client impact, industry leadership, and commitment to fiduciary responsibility. Finalists are selected through a competitive nomination and interview process.
The Closing the Coverage Gap — MEPs/PEPs category specifically highlights scalable solutions that make it easier for small and midsize employers to offer retirement benefits—without the complexity or cost typically associated with standalone plans.
Winners will be announced at the PLANADVISER Industry Leader Awards celebration in May 2026.
