intellicents has been named one of the “2020 Best Places to Work in Money Management” firms that was awarded by Pensions & Investments in December.

Presented by Pensions & Investments, the global news source of money management, ninth-annual survey and recognition program is dedicated to identifying and recognizing the best employers in the money management industry.

Unlike most advisory firms who just want to work with the wealthiest 1% of Americans, intellicents’ passion is to also help the 99% that compose the core of the American workforce. Their people pride themselves on over-serving the “Underserved,” and that mission runs internally in the firm as well. “It is an inclusive, fun and interactive group. The leadership strives to provide employees ample opportunities to advance within their roles and encourages good teamwork. It is a growing company with great potential to do big things. We are provided with regular updates on ‘the state of intellicents’ so our mission is clear, and leadership walks the walk. They really value their employees and want to know them on a personal level outside of work. They put forth the effort to make sure this firm is a place that people want to work for and are able to promote outside of the office,” stated various intellicents employees when interviewed about the work environment.

“In this very unusual year, we learned again that employers that consider the overall wellbeing of their employees are regarded well. The best employers in 2020 are those that have stepped up with policies and practices to support and protect employees’ physical and emotional health, while continuing to keep the focus on clients’ needs,” said P&I Editor Amy B. Resnick. “Our surveys found that the employers on the list were likely to work hard to sustain their corporate cultures, even during times of pandemic lockdowns and continuing to work from home in many cases.”

“Hardship often brings out the best in people. I can say without hesitation that this was the case with all of our people in 2020,” commented Brad Arends, Co-Founder and CEO of intellicents. “Never has so much been asked of us, yet never have I been so proud to be working with such a great team. It truly will be a year that none of us will ever forget, but what we have accomplished together under such circumstances is phenomenal.”

Pensions & Investments partnered with Best Companies Group, a research firm specializing in identifying great places to work, to conduct a two-part survey process of employers and their employees.

The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies.
